  • the rims of the wheel are solid and wont wear out, like it used to when the wheel used to run on the back of the running track.

  • the rims are a much more perfect circle so, the wheel runs really smooth.

  • because the running wheels run on edge of the wheel/rims the wheel runs a very stable.

Description

The ByeZira prestige Cat Exercise Wheel is built with durability, longevity and cats safety in mind.

As Breeders of Bengals we recognize the importance of play, interaction, entertainment and exercise, all the factors important in keeping a cat happy and healthy. We also understand that indoor pets do not often get the exercise required to keep them entertained which in turn helps to keep them from becoming destructive.

So with all this in mind we decided to build our own wheel initially just for us and our customers when they purchased a kitten, with budget wheels not being able to withstand the extensive hours of use from our bengals, we found they were not lasting us long at all and the prestige wheels being out of our price range at the level we were getting through them.

We also love how much the cats loved to run.

While observing the hours of play we always felt that there was room for improvement, when other cats were hanging around waiting to join in the fun as we found most of our budget wheels were only wide enough for one cat at a time. While circling the wheel waiting for their turn they would put noses paws and tails close to the wheels on the bases, sometimes they would try to get on with another cat already running and one cat would always end up spinning off, we saw this as a potential danger to our wonderful cats.

So with this in mind we decided to build a wheel wide enough for up to three cats at a time, and a base that kept everything out of dangers way, after all we all know how cats can so easily put themselves in danger.

We built our wheel, We were so happy with the results we decided to make them available to other cat owners. We believe we can deliver a prestige wheel at an affordable price, Providing cats and kittens with the much needed hours of entertainment and exercise.

The Base and sides of the wheels are made of 18mm MDF and covered in a durable easy clean paint. The wheel runs on large 80mm inline wheels for a smoother and quieter ride. The running track is covered with; High performance tough polyester waterproof canvas type fabric with a pvc backing.

The wheels are no longer built like the one in video, the video is of a second edition wheel but the shape has been improved. So wheel runs the same but know looks better.

Description

Our new cat exercise wheel, (ByeZira Air Walker), is mounted to the wall so there is no need for a base, the running wheels are concealed and out of reach so cats can not catch there paws in the running wheels.

The front of the wall mount bracket (the part that holds the wheel in the air) is wider than the wheel so even if the wheel was to come off of the RUNNING WHEELS which it can not explained in a moment, the exercise wheel could not fall of the wall mount bracket, so as long as the wall mount bracket is fitted properly Cats will be 100% safe from the wheel leaving the wall mount bracket.

Also front and back of the wall mount bracket, there is foam that runs tight to the wheel, 1mm gap. So even with the fastest cat the wheel can not come off the running wheels, as there is no room for it to move either side.

Note

the wall mount bracket has 12 fixing points to make sure the wheel is fixed securely.  Fixings will be provided.

The wheels only weight around 10 kg, so the fixings when fixed correctly could hold many many more times the weight.

If buying this wheel you must be confident in your ability to drill and fix wall plugs to the wall correctly. If not have someone who can do it for you or a builder.

For extra confidence but not needed if wall plugs fitted correctly, you could also use no nails to help fix to wall and a line of silicone round the edge of plate that fixes to the wall...

Fitting

1. The wall mount bracket must be fitted to a flat wall.( place level to wall and make sure there is no gap behind it. Horizontal and vertical. The wheel will not run smooth if you force the wall mount bracket out of shape on a wall that is not flat.

2. Make sure wall mount is fitted to wall level. Draw yourself a level line at least 130 cm from floor.

3. All fixings must pull tight to wall.
